Perkembangan teknologi merupakan salah satu upaya untuk melakukan perbaikan atau modifikasi dari berbagai proses yang saat ini sedang berjalan. Indonesia sedang membangun sektor industri dan juga sedang berbenah diri dalam menghadapi era perdagangan bebas pada tahun 2020 dengan semua dampaknya di semua segi kehidupan kita. Adanya berbagai resiko serta faktor bahaya ditempat kerja adalah keadaan yang tidak mungkin dihindari. Artinya tidak ada kondisi tempat kerja yang tidak mempunyai resiko (zero risk). Timbulnya kecelakaan kerja dapat merugikan perusahaan baik kerugian material secara langsung maupun menurunnya moral daripada pekerja secara
tidak langsung.
